My friends over at GT-R World have released a few more pictures of the R35 race car which is being prepared at Nismo Omori Factory. If you click here you will be able to see some great detailed shots showing the stripped out interior and the roll-cage. To save on weight the bonnet is made out of carbon fiber as is the trunk and side mirrors while some glass has been replaced with lexan. Wheels are the same TE37 looking items as used on the race car prototype that has been seen testing in Japan since the Nismo Festival. One thing that looked interesting to me is that the dash seems to wear the same carbon trim around the MFD as was seen on V-spec (or Spec-V what ever it’s going to be called). Would be interesting to see how much weight was shed on this car which will race this month at the Tokachi 24h in Hokkaido.
